Issuing refunds in PayPal

If you want to refund an order made with PayPal, it’s best to use your PayPal account. You can issue a full refund or partial refund on payments with the Completed, Pending or Cleared status up to 180 days after receiving payment.

 

Here's how to refund a payment:

  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click at the top of the page.
  3. Select the payment you want to refund.
  4. Click Issue a refund.
  5. In the Refund amount field enter the amount you want to refund: this may be full or partial refund.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Review the refund details to make sure you entered the correct refund amount.
  8. Click Issue a refund.
